As you can see, I don’t yet have any offers on my object. So let’s just wait a moment, come back, and we should have an offer visible to help us out with these explanations…

Alright, now I have an offer:

You will receive an email notification to let you know when an offer is made. The latest offer will be highlighted in green, and the most recent one will always be on the top. I can see that the offer has been sent to me by dovesta, and the offer is for $US 10. You can take a closer look at the offer by clicking on the date (in the above photo it is ‘Today 03.53pm’).
When viewing an offer, you will be given basic information about the member’s location, their buyer rating and feedback, the forms of payment and dollar amount of their offer, as well as a personal message. If you don’t want to accept the offer, press the back button. You can always wait until you have more offers, and then decide whether or not you want to accept this one. Or you can accept the offer now.

Let’s accept the offer and follow on to the next step.
Once you’ve accepted the offer, an email is sent to the buyer, and they will make a payment/trade and then confirm their half of the transaction. Once that’s done, you can send them the object. … But where to continue from here?
Go back to your object listing:

You can see that the green right hand message now says ‘Offer Accepted’, and your checklist has moved to ‘Complete Trade’. Click on the complete trade link – it has also appeared in the centre column tabs.
This page allows you to deal with all the transaction details. At the top, you will see a short description of the transaction.

Below that, you can see the Seller information – that’s you. Here you can rate the buyer, leave feedback and comments, and confirm your end of the transaction. This is best filled out once the buyer has paid you, and once you have shipped the object to them. You can however edit this information for up to 30 days after the transaction has been completed.

Below that, you will be able to see the Buyer information – the other member. You can send a message to them – good for giving them information about how/where to send payment or shipping information on swaps – as well as see how that member rated you as a Seller. You can also see whether or not the buyer has confirmed their end of the transaction.

It is up to the two of you to swap shipping and payment information, and to use the message links provided to do so.
So what happens now? Once you have both confirmed your ends of the transaction, and left feedback and ratings, the trade is complete.
A special feature of our Marketplace is that once you complete the trade of an object, that object is no longer visible in your collections. We automatically and instantly transfer all of the online data over to the Buyer. This doesn’t just make it a simple and easy way to ensure a traceable provenance between buyer and sellers, it also means no laborious task of re-uploading the data associated with the object on the buyer’s part!
But don’t worry, as the Seller, you can still see the basic information related to the transaction. Just click the Marketplace link in your left hand column, and click on the ‘My Trades’ up the top of the page. - And if you have swapped objects with the buyer, you will also automatically receive the online data of their object (read the Buyer FAQ for more info).

You will see the transaction, and if you click on it, you will be able to go back and view the object as if it was still yours. However, you won’t be able to edit the details or delete it. This is like an online receipt of your transaction.
And that's it! You've now sold your very first object in our Marketplace. Once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy!
