Basics of Zings

 

Zings are the virtual currency of collectZing

You can use Zings to buy and sell in the Marketplace

We aim to introduce new ways to earn and spend Zings in the near future

The exchange rate for Zings is: 1 Zing = $US 1

All new members receive 20 Zings as a gift from collectZing when they join

You can purchase additional Zings safely and securely via Paypal; you don’t need a Paypal account to purchase Zings.

Zing purchases can not be refunded

Zings can’t be transferred outside of collectZing; they can only be used within the collectZing website

collectZing reserves the right to delete member accounts not signed into for twelve months and forfeit any Zing balance  

 

Zing Balance

 

At all times, in the top right corner of the site, you will see the number of Zings that you currently have; it is also linked to your profile area, where you can view your Zing purchase history and buy more if you need to. The balance can also be seen on your Start Page and the Marketplace search page, on the right hand side column.

 

Purchasing Zings

 

Whenever you click on the 'Purchase Zings' link, you will be taken to an area of your profile where you can buy more. You can also get to this same page by clicking on your 'Edit profile' link underneath your profile photo, and then clicking on the 'My Zings' link.

 

 

On the 'My Zings' page you will see your Zing balance, as well as a link to the Paypal payment. Input how many Zings you want to buy, and then click the 'Buy Now' button.

 

 

You will then be taken to the secure Paypal payment site. If you have a Paypal account, sign in - if not, then pay with your credit card.

 

 

Once you have paid, you can come back to collectZing's site, and you will see your Zing balance has been updated.

 

Buying with Zings

 

When you see an object listed in the Marketplace, you will notice a list of payment methods accepted by the Seller. If they accept payment by Zings, and your offer for the object has been approved by the Seller, then you can make payment with Zings when you finalize the transaction. Selling with Zings

 

When you list an object in the Marketplace, you will have the option to select different payment methods, one of which is Zings. You can choose to accept only Zings, or Zings and a trade, or any of the other options. A more detailed step-by-step explanation can be found here [link to be added very very soon!]

 

Zing Transaction History

 

You can view all of your Zing purchases from collectZing, as well as your transactions with sellers using Zings, in your profile area. Click on the 'Transaction History' link:

 

 

You will see a quick glance list of your previous transactions using Zings, including the date you paid with or bought Zings, the amount of Zings, the people involved in the transaction, and any other details. You can see below, Naomi has only had one transaction; she has 20 Zings in her balance, given to her from collectZing.

 

 

Problems with Zings

 

Please let us know if you have any problems purchasing or using your Zings. Please remember: Zing purchases can not be refunded; Zings can’t be transferred outside of collectZing; and collectZing reserves the right to delete member accounts not signed into for twelve months and forfeit any Zing balance. 

 

If you have purchased an object from another member using Zings, and the transaction is later proven to be fraudulent or in contravention of law, collectZing reserves the right to refund or reverse transfers of Zings. For more information about our Marketplace policies, please click here.
