Trading and Wish Lists

How do I add an object to my Wish List?

When you see an object in someone else’s collection that you would like to add to your Wish List, click on the ‘Add to wish list’ icon. It will immediately go into your Wish List collection. You will also have the opportunity to contact the object’s owner about a trade. You will notice that any objects you put in your Wish List will have a heart icon next to it. You can also easily remove the object from your Wish List at any time, by clicking on the heart icon or ‘Remove from my Wish List’ link next to the object.

The Marketplace

If you’re tired of wading through countless irrelevant auction listings for everything from alien duck x-rays to D-list celebritys’ belly button lint, then the collectZing Marketplace is for you.

Feedback and Ratings

Leaving feedback and ratings are not mandatory - but they are an excellent way to let other members know how you feel about a Buyer or Seller. So wherever possible, leave a rating that reflects your opinion of that member, as well as leaving helpful feedback. Helpful feedback includes mentions of: if the object was received as described; whether the other member was helpful or communicated clearly and often; whether payment was received, and received timely; whether the object was received in a timely manner; etc.

No, you can't import feedback ratings from eBay. We're not eBay, and don't use the same system of feedback as they do.

Tips and hints to a better Marketplace

When listing an object in the Marketplace, UPLOAD A PHOTO. General consensus is that you are more likely to sell an item online if there is a clear and large photo to go with your description and information. This is especially true when selling collectibles, since most collectors will want to see the condition of the object themselves, before making an offer. Condition of a collectible can greatly decrease or increase the object's value, and as such, a good quality photo can provide the buyer the confidence needed that the object is genuine and in good condition.
